ATRS and Terrain Mud Run Participants Get Dirty and Clean Up in Phoenix on October 26, 2013
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- American Textile Recycling Service (ATRS) and Terrain Mud Runs are teaming up once again to get dirty and clean up Phoenix by recycling on October 26, 2013. The event takes place at Rawhide, combining 25+ obstacles, river crossings and the best mud pits in Phoenix.
ATRS is a longtime participant in the popular outdoor obstacle race. For many years volunteer teams from the Phoenix based textile recycling company have supported the event by collecting muddy running shoes at The Finish Line to be recycled in support of Chaplaincy for the Homeless, assisting the homeless and those living in poverty to leave the Chaplaincy for the Homeless with employment, housing and the social services essential to regaining their self-sufficiency.
“Getting dirty never felt so clean,” quips McKenzie Norris, Community Relations Advocate for ATRS Arizona. “We challenge Phoenix residents to come out and join us at this fun outdoors event, help keep Phoenix green and support a worthy local cause. It’s a win win win!”
Phoenix residents are encouraged to bring a bag of unwanted clothes, shoes, toys and household textiles to the race, and support the program all year round simply by calling the 24-Hour Hotline with your address or zip code at 1-866-900-9308.
