Covestor to Host Boston Viewing Party for TEDxWallStreet
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- Covestor (http://www.covestor.com), an online marketplace for investing, announced today that it is hosting the Boston Viewing Party for the TEDxWallStreet conference on Wednesday, October 30. To share innovative ideas about the most current issues facing the economy and society, Covestor will stream these TEDx talks live from the New York Stock Exchange to attendees in Boston.
This year’s theme - Filling the Void - will be addressed by over a dozen leaders from finance, business, technology, entertainment and journalism. They are slated to speak about local, global, social, and economic voids and share their thoughts on how to fill them.
Presenters include:
• Bob Woodruff (Renowned TV journalist)
• Stanley F. Druckenmiller (Former Founder, Chairman and President of Duquesne Capital Management, Chairman of the Harlem Children’s Zone)
• George Whitesides (CEO of Virgin Galactic)
• Mary Ellen Iskenderian (CEO of Women’s World Banking)
• Brian David Johnson (Futurist at Intel and Noted Author)
• Peter Tunney (Legendary Artist, Creator of the Peter Tunney Experiment)
“Both TEDxWallStreet and Covestor seek to provide a space for innovative perspectives on the evolving investing industry,” said Covestor CEO Asheesh Advani. “We believe that Covestor is filling a void by providing people with access to talented portfolio managers that they could not find on their own,” he said.
“Not all great portfolio managers work on Wall Street,” Advani continued. “The Internet allows us to discover, vet and provide people with access to compelling investment strategies from portfolio managers around the world.”
Covestor has created a smarter way for people to find portfolio managers to invest with. The company allows clients to see what dozens of experienced investors are buying and selling in their own portfolios and learn the rationale behind those investment strategies. Clients can select from over 130 investment portfolios, either by choosing investments online or with the free assistance of a client adviser.
