Supreme Group Wins UN Catering Contract in Côte d’Ivoire
Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) October 28, 2013 -- Supreme Group, a global leader in the provision of end to end supply chain solutions in challenging environments around the world, has been awarded a contract to provide catering services for the United Nations operations in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI). The project is for the delivery of catering services for UNOCI’s multinational military staff at the regional headquarters in Daloa, Bouake and Abidjan.
“We are proud of our long history of partnering with international organizations to support vital projects in remote locations worldwide,” said Michael Gans, Principal, Supreme Group. “We are excited about this project and optimistic about the future of Ivory Coast. To that effect, we have already established strong partnerships with local suppliers and hired a team of local Nationals to work with us.”
“Supreme is proud to offer the industry’s highest standards in terms of quality management and operating procedures, drawing on more than 50 years’ experience in supporting defense forces and international organizations around the world. As a result, we look forward to serving the distinguished tenants of the camps with distinction,” Gans added.
Supreme recently announced that it had launched a Local First Program in Africa; an initiative designed to enhance community development through creating employment opportunities within Supreme and partnerships with local suppliers. The program was launched in the Ivory Coast in May 2013, with plans to expand to more of Supreme’s operations across Africa in future. A Management Training Program is also now being implemented to increase the number of African Nationals in Supreme’s workforce; a figure that currently stands at 75 per cent across six countries in Africa.
