Bronx, NY (PRWEB) October 24, 2013
Conti’s Pastry Shoppe in New York is proud to introduce the latest addition to its menu. In keeping with its 95 years of tradition as a focal point of the community, Conti’s has responded to the requests of its customers who desire delicious gluten-free desserts.
Why is a gluten-free diet important? For individuals with certain conditions, gluten can pose a health risk so it must be eliminated from the diet. The down side of eliminating gluten from one’s diet means giving up foods that contain wheat, barley and rye. As these are staple grains, that means giving up many common foods, including delicious desserts, such as cakes, that are made from wheat flour. That can potentially be a very bland and boring diet, especially without any dessert.
As one of the first pastry shops in the Bronx to offer homemade, enjoyable, gluten-free treats, Conti’s Pastry Shoppe has mastered the craft of combining their special blend of gluten-free ingredients and delicious sweets. The first of these healthy treats making its debut is the Nutella Mousse Cupcake, which will be available the week prior to Thanksgiving.
In the continued spirit of listening to customers, Conti’s wants to know what the next delicious gluten-free dessert on the menu should be. Ideas can be submitted to cdirusso(at)contispastryshoppe(dot)com. December is right around the corner. Santa is coming to Conti’s and he could be bringing another delicious gluten-free sweet.
