Ashley Furniture HomeStore Strengthens Commitment to Finish Breast Cancer
Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- The 26.2 with Donna Foundation and Jacksonville, Florida’s Ashley Furniture HomeStores are proud to announce a new partnership to further support ground-breaking breast cancer research and support women living with breast cancer.
Beginning this year, Ashley Furniture HomeStores will serve as the official sponsor of the 26.2
with Donna Relay to be held Sunday, February 23, 2014, Sunday, February 15, 2015; and
Sunday, February 14, 2016. Howard Fineman, Ashley HomeStore CEO and Managing Member
says this new partnership is one more way for he and his team to give back to the community.
“We believe in the vision of the 26.2 with Donna Foundation. Our team wants to do everything it
can to support finding a cure and ending breast cancer. We are humbled and honored to have
this opportunity to help.”
The 26.2 with Donna Foundation, established by award-winning journalist and three-time breast
cancer survivor Donna Deegan attracts world-class marathoners to Jacksonville every year to
participate in the only marathon in the country dedicated to finishing breast cancer. Deegan says she is equally honored by Ashley’s commitment to her cause.

generosity is overwhelming. Support from our community is so important to our efforts to end
breast cancer and help those with it.”
Since Fineman opened the first Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Jacksonville in 2005 the
company’s community support programs continue to expand. Today, in addition to its support
for the 26.2 with Donna Foundation, the local Ashley Furniture HomeStores are involved with
the Salvation Army, the USO, and began the first of its kind program to provide free bedding for
local children in need. The program, “A Hope to Dream” is now featured in more than 200 of
Ashley Furniture HomeStores nationwide.
