New York, NY (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- Traders Magazine, the leading information resource for the institutional trading community, has announced the winners of its third annual Wall Street Women awards.
2013 honorees include Excellence in Leadership award winners Anna Ewing, Executive Vice President of Global Technology Solutions at NASDAQ OMX, and Christine Sandler, Executive Vice President Global Sales at NYSE Euronext. The Excellence in Leadership award is presented to women who demonstrate exemplary leadership and exceptional performance throughout their careers and who are considered the standard-bearers for other women in the financial community.
“These professionals represent the future of trading,” said Phil Albinus, Editor-in-Chief of Traders Magazine. “We’re honored to acknowledge these women, who faced the odds and emerged as true Wall Street leaders, role models and mentors for the next generation of securities traders.”
In all, Traders is recognizing 15 women for their achievements. Honorees were selected from a field of more than 50 nominees. Candidates were recommended by their peers in the trading community who submitted nomination information relating to a variety of criteria, including responsibilities, financial results and organizational success. Judging was done by an independent advisory board comprised of female leaders from the securities industry.
The names of all honorees are posted online at http://www.tradersmagazine.com/wall-street-women and will be featured in the November issue of Traders Magazine.
Traders Magazine and SourceMedia will host an award ceremony, “Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence,” on November 6 at the JW Marriott Essex House in New York. Stephanie Ruhle, an anchor for Bloomberg Television who also serves as co-host of "Market Makers,” will be a keynote speaker. Ruhle, a former Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, plays an active role in women's leadership development and founded the Corporate Investment Bank Women's Network.
