English Twins WARD-THOMAS Offer Country from a Different Country
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- Nineteen year-old English twins Catherine and Lizzy Ward-Thomas continue to build awareness in the US for their own brand of country music on a 6-week radio promotion tour coordinated by CountryContent. Since arriving in Nashville in early October, they’ve notched 15 performances and had seven country radio station interviews (and on air performances) in Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky including a live set for the staff of the 2013 Marconi Award winning station WKDZ.
"Those girls instantly won the room over with their pure hereditary harmonies; they are as country as anyone I've heard in a long time," attested Bill Booth, WKDZ Program Director. Kelly Green of WEIO continues, “Ward-Thomas is about to set this country on fire with their brand of country from another country! Love 'em! So much talent--terrific songwriters, great harmonies and a ton of charisma.”
Ward-Thomas released their 4-song EP, “A Different Country” on 10/28/13 in the US. Produced by Bobby Blazier and Chris Rodriquez, the EP will be available for download via http://www.wardthomasmusic.com as well as at Ward-Thomas live shows. All songs are co-written by the twins and feature a list of accomplished musicians including Blazier, Rodriquez, Dan Dugmore and Vince Gill’s guitar work on the track “Town Called Ugley.”
Lizzie and Catherine grew up on a livestock farm in Hampshire, England, born into a creative family line comprised of authors, inventors, visual artists and actors. Choir practice at home honed their ‘twin-blend’ harmony and their thirst for adventure and activity continues to produce an ever-growing story file they reach into as they write their songs. What started as music they did for fun was transformed when they first heard American country music. Most of the 21 tracks they have already recorded in Nashville were co-written with their English high school vocal teacher Ann Bailey, and guitar instructor Matt Greaves.
Dale Turner of WDKN agreed with other programmers, "Lizzy and Catherine were charming, entertaining and their sibling harmonies were amazing. As strong live as their studio work. Twins with talent plus tons of personality." The duo continues this promotion tour in support of the EP through the end of November with more dates in Tennessee and in Alabama. The duo is already booking dates for a late spring 2014 US tour.
