PLUMgrid is reinventing networking with virtual network infrastructure.
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) October 28, 2013
PLUMgrid, the leader in Virtual Network Infrastructure (VNI), today announced that the PLUMgrid Platform will be demonstrated live in a peer-to-peer user group session at the upcoming Open Networking User Group Meeting. PLUMgrid will also be sponsoring and exhibiting at the event.
The Open Networking User Group is a community of IT business leaders who exchange ideas and best practices for implementing Open Networking and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) designs. ONUG events are for IT executives, global network architects, and designers to learn from peers and early adopters managing private or public clouds, enterprise data centers, WAN or service provider networks. PLUMgrid will be demonstrated in the ONUG Academy tutorial titled, Understanding and Deploying Virtual Networks, which is a half-day tutorial presented by Dr. Srini Seetharaman, Technical Lead for SDN at Deutsche Telekom.
During this session, IT leaders from around the globe will have access to an instructor-led and hands-on walk-through of the PLUMgrid Platform covering installation, configuration and management providing an opportunity to learn:
- Basics of SDN and Network Virtualization, and how it relates to deploying cloud services.
- Typical architectures and deployment models for SDN-based network virtualization and the interaction with cloud management systems and L4-L7 services
- Gain hands-on experience on a SDN-based network virtualization platform, and explore its potential and allowed features. Gain early exposure to how cloud networking of today and tomorrow is going to be done.
