SpecialEffect Charity Raise Money by Running the Oxford Half Marathon - Shawcity's MD Joins In
(PRWEB UK) 12 November 2013 -- SpecialEffect a charity that helps young people with disabilities find a fun and exciting outlet in gaming, ran the Oxford half marathon in October. Neil O'Regan; Shawcity's MD, joined them - all in aid of raising money for the charity.
Since being founded in 2007, SpecialEffect has grown as a charity, providing video games to children with disabilities - providing them with both an outlet and a method of being included.
The SpecialEffect team recently ran the Oxford half marathon and managed to raise over £4k for the charity, which is fantastic. Shawcity are big supporters of the work SpecialEffect does and therefore wanted to contribute. Shawcity donated 2 pop-up banners to display at events such as the Oxford half marathon to draw attention to the charity and hopefully encourage people to donate their time or make a contribution.
Neil O'Regan, the Managing Director at Shawcity also ran the Oxford half marathon alongside the SpecialEffect team and managed to raise over £400 for the charity, which is an amazing effort.
Shawcity hope to continue their support to SpecialEffect and look forward to working with them again in the near future. To donate to SpecialEffect, please visit their website
