Jill Slupe, president of Verde Martin, provider of sales audit and sales acceleration training to organizations in Omaha, Nebraska, and Chicago, Illinois, as well as nationwide, announced Tom Baker, president of Omaha sales firm Lighthouse 5, will join the company’s team of professional sales auditors. Baker will put the Verde Martin sales audit process to work for his clients in the Omaha and Seattle markets, and eventually plans to expand throughout the U.S. with additional auditors.
Baker brings an unusual depth of experience to the sale auditing and sales acceleration process, with a career that has encompassed many roles in business, from sales manager, business development professional and customer service expert to negotiator, media buyer, coach/mentor, leadership facilitator and entrepreneur. Among other achievements, Tom has turned a nine-state sales team into national top producers, delivered a non-profit organization from the brink of bankruptcy, and reorganized a sales firm all the way to 25% revenue growth and a 40% annual contract increase.

After earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Nebraska and testing the waters in front of the camera, Tom chose a career in sales and management, serving in a variety of positions in the media, publishing, real estate and marketing industries. His career has included sales positions with Cox Cable, KETV, InfoUSA and West Interactive in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as Experian, Vista.com, CEO Media Corporation and Commercial Space Advisors in Seattle, Washington.
