We aren't looking for the fittest person in the world. We're looking for individuals who most inspire others through their fitness journeys.

In an effort to help everyone who desires to finally have the body of their life, representatives with LiveFitter.com announced today that it has launched The Fitter U Contest.
“The Fitter U Contest is a campaign presented by U Sports and LiveFitter in collaboration with Optimum Nutrition,” said Jon Chew, Founder and CEO of LiveFitter.com.
LiveFitter.com is a digital platform, which company officials say features the best fitness content available online and showcases the highest quality user submitted content in the world relevant to fitness, nutrition and inspiration.
Chew explained that the aim of The Fitter U Contest is for participants to set personal fitness goals, break boundaries, and see how far they take themselves.
"We aren't looking for the fittest person in the world. We're looking for individuals who most inspire others through their fitness journeys," emphasized Chew.
The launching of The Fitter U Contest could prove to have perfect timing due to the recent obesity trends and statistics.
In fact, in 2012, about 34.9 percent of the people in this country were obese, which is roughly 35 pounds over a healthy weight. That is not significantly different from the 35.7 percent who were obese in 2010.
In both 2010 and 2012 about 78 million adults were obese; more than 50 million of those were white, according to the latest statistics from the National Center for Health Statistics, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The recent statistics is one reason why the company added a Tell Your Story feature to the contest.
“When you tell your story, you stand a chance to win the most prestigious prize in sports nutrition, which is a $10,000 Optimum Nutrition Athlete Contract,” Chew said, before adding, “Each participant will receive a Gold standard 100 percent, two-pound tube of whey protein, 30 servings of essential amino energy, and a limited edition Fitter-U T-Shirt.”
