Intridea is excited to announce that Ezra Zygmuntowicz has joined the team as Chief Technology Officer. As one of the earliest adopters of the Ruby on Rails web development framework, Ezra brings more than nine years of Rails development and deployment knowledge to Intridea, as well considerable team leadership and business skills.
In 2006, Ezra founded Engine Yard, the premier Ruby on Rails hosting firm. He later joined VMWare in 2010 to help architect and build CloudFoundry, an open-source Platform-as-a-service (PaaS). From there, he founded Trinity Labs, a 3D printing and robotics company based in Portland, OR.
When asked about joining Intridea, Ezra said, “I’m thrilled to be part of the ridiculously awesome team at Intridea. These are my kind of people, doing software development the right way. I’m looking forward to contributing to the great open-source culture here, and working with our team to solve our clients’ hardest problems.”
With the addition of Ezra, Intridea builds on its already-strong engineering and open-source capabilities. Marc Garrett, Intridea’s CEO, said “I’m so pleased to welcome Ezra to the Intridea team. Ezra’s history speaks for itself — he’s an open-source powerhouse, a brilliant engineer, and knows how to start and grow businesses. ”
Since 2007, Intridea has been making custom web and mobile applications for companies including Amazon, Citi, Mitsubishi, Merck, and many others. Intridea offers user interface design, data visualization, and engineering using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, D3.js, and HTML5.
Intridea believes that bits and bytes, pixels and palettes have the power to make our world a better home. That’s why Intridea works with clients who are heavyweights in their trade, and startups who dare to think differently.
