The Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey (VNANNJ) Celebrates 4th Annual Winter Holiday Tradition in Morristown
Morristown, NJ (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- The VNA’s Celebration of Life holiday event & tree lighting, now in its 4th year, has become an annual tradition in downtown Morristown. At 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, the public is invited to attend this free community event which will feature a tree lighting of VNA’s stately beech tree on the corner of South Street and James Street in Morristown. Light refreshments and entertainment will be provided. The event is held each year to honor and remember loved ones who will be missed during the holiday season.
After the public Tree Lighting Ceremony, invited guests will attend a Wine Tasting & Reception in the VNA headquarters building, featuring a unique selection of wines, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction items and live entertainment. Tickets are $50 per person in advance or $60 at the door. All proceeds from the event benefit the VNANNJ Foundation.
No advance registration is required for the public tree lighting. For more information or to purchase tickets for the Wine Tasting Reception, please contact Amanda DeFelice at (973) 451-4169 or email adefelice(at)vnannj(dot)org.
“This event has become a wonderful VNA tradition that brings the community together to celebrate family and friends and remember those who are no longer with us,” said CEO Faith Scott. “It’s one of numerous seasonal activities we undertake each winter. In fact, the festive holiday season can actually be a time of sadness and stress for the homebound and those who serve as their caregivers. Our VNA has been lending a helping hand by delivering comfort and encouragement year round for more than 115 years.”
