Online resume provider serves over 4 million users with Xand IaaS platforms.

“Xand provides fantastic uptime and availability for our mission-critical production environment,” said Pongo President and CEO Rodney Capron, Jr.

Pongo, creators of the first online resume builder with over 4.6 million members, announced today they have signed for an additional three years of managed Cloud services from Xand, the Northeast’s premier provider of highly-resilient colocation, cloud, managed services, and disaster recovery.

“Xand provides fantastic uptime and availability for our mission-critical production environment,” said Pongo President and CEO Rodney Capron, Jr. “The level of expertise in deploying and managing fully-virtualized Cloud systems makes Xand a great partner for Pongo.”

Pongo utilizes Xand’s custom suite of xCloud solutions to deliver all aspects of its virtualized infrastructure, including servers, storage, security, network, operating systems, and databases. The xCloud infrastructure is paired with traditional colocation services such as power, environmental controls, and monitoring, served out of Xand’s data center facilities.

“We’re honored that Pongo has chosen to extend its relationship with Xand on the basis of our successful track record and years of experience designing, building, and managing enterprise-class Cloud infrastructure,” said Xand Senior Vice President of Sales John Holland. “Our flexible solutions, highly-available infrastructure, and responsive technical support back Pongo’s mission around the clock, and Xand’s scalable xCloud platforms are well positioned to meet any future demands they may face.”

After years of designing, operating, and managing his own robust hosting environment, Mr. Capron decided to pursue moving to a colocation and Cloud provider capable of delivering the same peace of mind he experienced with his own systems management. The decision was challenging for Mr. Capron to make, as maximum application availability and performance are of the utmost importance for serving Pongo’s millions of users. After extensively surveying the marketplace, Mr. Capron selected Xand based on the combination of 24x7 support, proven infrastructure reliability, in-house Cloud technology expertise, and cost effective offerings.

“Meeting with the team at Xand, I was left with the strong impression that the company had real experience managing VMware, storage, and the other core technology platforms my company requires to operate,” Mr. Capron said. “We also took a lot of comfort in knowing that Xand provides 24x7 support. When we call with an issue, someone who understands our environment is there to pick up the phone.”

Mr. Capron also credits Xand’s professional team for providing high levels of service and playing a consultative role in developing custom, flexible solutions for Pongo.

“There’s a tendency for tech companies to be strong on technology but really miss the boat on customer service,” Capron said. “The team at Xand worked closely with us to provide comprehensive service and followed up on every request we made. Building that great customer relationship is a large part of why we chose to renew with Xand.”
