NaphCare Supports the Efforts of NAMI of Southern Nevada
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- NaphCare has been the medical partner for the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and the Clark County Detention Facility in Las Vegas since 2006 and is a strong supporter of the Southern Nevada NAMI organization. NAMI is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness in the community about mental illness. They provide essential education tools and various support groups for individuals living with mental illness and their families.
The NAMI Walk is one of the largest and most successful fundraising events of the year and this year was no different. Over 400 participants came out to show their support and approximately $40,000 was raised.
“As a correctional healthcare provider, we understand the dedication NAMI of Southern Nevada has to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness,” Melody Molinaro, NaphCare’s Nevada Regional Director of Operations, said. “Providing such support in the communities we serve is both a privilege and a responsibility we readily accept.”
Joining the non-profit grassroots organization, NAMI of Southern Nevada’s dedicated volunteers and NaphCare are working together to raise awareness through education, advocacy and support group programs for individuals in the local community.
