Melanie Walent Appointed to Director of Sales and Marketing for 502-Room Hyatt Regency Boston Hotel
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Hyatt Regency Boston today announces the appointment of Melanie Walent as the new director of sales and marketing. In this role, Melanie will be responsible for all aspects of Hyatt Regency Boston’s short and long-term planning and preparation of the marketing, sales plans, programs and annual budget.
Walent comes to Hyatt Regency Boston with considerable experience in the hospitality industry and 15 years with Hyatt, most recently from Hyatt Dulles at Dulles International Airport, where she held the Director of Sales and Marketing position for the past five years. Walent began her Hyatt career as a catering and convention services manager at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. Through hard work and dedication she earned a promotion to social catering manager at Park Hyatt Washington, where she consistently found new accounts and increased existing clientele to capture high-end social events and increase revenues. After exceeding in her role as social catering manager she was promoted to associate director of sales at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa.
