Digital identity solution-provider has announced a partnership with POS REP, the first mobile, proximity-based social network exclusively for military service members and veterans. POS REP users will be able to verify their identity using’s Troop ID technology, the first digital authentication engine for proving military and veteran affiliation online.

POS REP, military short-hand for Position Report, reconnects veterans who served together and allows veterans to discover peers and resources in their communities. POS REP also serves as a universal mobile platform for the non-profit, government, and private sector organizations that support veterans’ reintegration. With Troop ID, POS REP users can quickly and easily verify their military and veteran status online and in real-time, adding to the level of trust across the POS REP community.

Army and Marine Corps veterans Anthony Allman, Jake Wood, and William McNulty founded POS REP, inspired by the memory of a fallen comrade, Sergeant Clay Hunt. Clay, who served combat tours with Jake in Iraq and Afghanistan, returned to civilian life deeply scarred by the mental and emotional wounds of war. Himself a leading national advocate for veterans with PTSD, Clay tragically took his own life in March 2011. At the memorial service, Jake discovered that 3 Marines with whom they had both served lived within 15 miles of Clay’s apartment; he had in fact not been alone. POS REP was developed to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
