Our company has based in Williamson County for over 14 years, so participating in the Expo was a great way to get to know our neighbors. We had a great time educating the community and raising awareness about the products and services DXE offers.

DXE Medical, Inc., a leading distributor of new and used AEDs and manual defibrillators, hosted a booth at the recent Healthy Living & Lifestyles Expo in Brentwood, TN. The Expo was presented by Vanderbilt Health and affiliated with the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce. It was also held in conjunction with packet pickup for participants of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Brentwood Baptist served as the host location for this event.

DXE utilized this event to raise awareness about the dangers of cardiac arrest and the need for widespread public access AEDs which are available through both DXE and their sister company AED.com. The booth featured DXE and AED.com's special fall price of $675 for recertified Philips HeartStart OnSite AEDs. A trainer OnSite unit was available at the booth allowing attendees to experience the model's ease of use. DXE's 2nd Life Biomedical Services which include repairs, maintenance, and service contracts were also featured.

Attendees at the Expo were encouraged to visit multiple booths on a triva scavenger hunt in order to be entered to win prizes. Visitors to the DXE booth were asked if they knew the difference between cardiac arrest and a heart attack. Visitors learned that while heart attacks are tied to "plumbing" problems in the body, cardiac arrest is caused by "electrical problems" and can happen to anyone of any age.

While DXE Medical has an international customer base, the Expo was a great way to reach out to potential local customers and community members. Moriah Lutz-Tveite, Marketing Production Coordinator for DXE, states, "Our company has based in Williamson County for over 14 years, so participating in the Expo was a great way to get to know our neighbors. We had a great time educating the community and raising awareness about the products and services DXE offers."
