Under the agreement announced today, Kaplan Early Learning Company will distribute a range of Conscious Discipline products to increase the integration of social-emotional learning in early childhood classrooms.

A strategic partnership between Kaplan Early Learning Company, a trusted provider of early childhood resources, and Conscious Discipline, a leader in transformational social-emotional learning, provides educators and parents with increased options for helping children develop emotional intelligence and self-regulation with unique strategies and innovative tools.

Under the agreement announced today, Kaplan will be a distributor of Conscious Discipline’s most popular products, including the Feeling Buddies® Self-Regulation Toolkit, an easy to use curriculum and finalist for the 2013 Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP). An established leader in the integration of classroom management and social-emotional learning, Conscious Discipline’s evidence-based approach complements Kaplan Early Learning Company’s commitment to help foster the growth of the whole child - cognitively, physically, and social-emotionally.

“We are delighted to partner with Conscious Discipline as we strengthen our mission to support the overall well-being of young children,” said Brenda Leger, Kaplan Vice President of Assessment and Curriculum. “As a company, we realize that a strong social-emotional foundation sets the stage for future learning success. The Conscious Discipline approach is one of engagement, maximizing children’s social-emotional learning, and focusing on the emotional development of the adults who support them.”

With Kaplan’s vast network of distributors, educators and parents worldwide will have access to resources that integrate social-emotional learning and discipline to effectively teach children how to behave and manage difficult emotions.

“We are thrilled to join with Kaplan Early Learning,” said Keith McIntrye, Executive Director at Conscious Discipline. “Through this partnership, Kaplan gains a proven social-emotional program and Conscious Discipline takes a great leap toward our goal of providing every adult with the inspiration, knowledge and skills needed to ensure all children thrive both academically and socially, and to create safe communities for this generation and generations to come.”
