Even after more than 23 years in the industry, we still approach every project with vitality and the belief that design is a lifestyle. We are honored to have been awarded such recognition from ASID for projects that were truly a pleasure to design.

Moore Design Group celebrated a banner evening at the 2013 ASID Texas Legacy of Design Awards ceremony when they were honored with five awards for their groundbreaking residential and multifamily designs. The annual competition of the American Society of Interior Designers recognizes the finest and most innovative interior design achievements within the Texas Chapter and honors outstanding members of the design community.

Led by Principle Stephanie Moore-Hager, the prominent interior design firm earned first place in four categories for its contemporary designs in the Dallas residence of Supreme Lending President Scott Everett.

Taking first place in the Residential Singular Space category, the grand entryway of the Everett residence has become well known throughout the design community as a luxurious welcoming reception into the home. MDG transformed the space with careful attention to architectural and design details, such as the patterned limestone floor, commissioned art and a jewel-toned, hand blown glass chandelier, which Hager co-designed.

The modern and purposeful design of the chef’s kitchen in the Everett home earned first place for Residential Kitchen Contemporary. Thoughtful cabinet layout creates a chef-ready cooking space and the modern, clean lines, and open floor plan are appropriate for hosting everything from large gatherings to small family dinners. Focusing on innovation and energy efficiency, MDG created a space that is intimate, fashionable and functional.

First place for Residential Bathroom Contemporary, the master bathroom of the Everett home mimics a boutique hotel, spa-like setting with a stunning backdrop of relaxation and intimacy. A hidden door into the bath was the catalyst for the entire bedroom with everything over sized to accommodate its owner’s 6’4” height.

The central room in the Everett home serves many different functions and takes a calm and modern approach to having the outdoor living space serve as a harmonious extension of the indoor living area. Uniquely integrating interior and exterior design elements, MDG won first place in the Residential Contemporary Large category for the comfortable and distinctive design. The large glass openings, the carefully chosen furnishings and the colorful ambient lighting infuse the space with sophisticated and eye-catching personality.

After sweeping its residential categories, MDG was also awarded the second place title in the Multifamily – Facilities category for the Zang Triangle, a property that has received remarkable recognition from the design community. The unique combination of structure, décor and crisply tailored elements of the urban community showcases the collaborative spirit of the design team and the architect. The remarkable custom tree sculpture in the center of the lobby helps create the eclectic and funky ambiance for which the Zang Triangle, and the Oak Cliff neighborhood itself, is now known.

“Even after more than 23 years in the industry, we still approach every project with vitality and the belief that design is a lifestyle,” Hager said. “We are honored to have been awarded such recognition from ASID for projects that were truly a pleasure to design.”

The dynamic success in 2013 is expected to lead into a promising 2014 for MDG. Hager and her team continue to advance in the interior design industry by demonstrating and celebrating the power of design to positively change people’s lives.
