Red Herring has selected Centric Software, Inc. as a finalist for the 2013 Red Herring Top 100 Global Award.

Red Herring describes the award as “a prestigious recognition honoring the year’s most audacious and far-reaching private technology companies and entrepreneurs from across the globe.” The Red Herring editorial team selected the companies demonstrating the most innovative technologies and business models originating from more than 1,000 businesses in over 40 nations.

The companies represented past Red Herring Asia, Europe and North America awards recipients. Red Herring named Centric—provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software for retail, apparel, footwear, luxury and consumer goods companies—to its 2013 Red Herring Top 100 List for North American in May.

The Red Herring team judged the companies for the 2013 Top 100 Global Award finalist list on a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics, including technology innovation, financial performance, growth criterion, management's execution standards, potential globalization of the strategy and market share improvement.

“Technology companies are becoming the bright spot in the economic outlook, based on their increasing role within macro-economic environments,” states Alex Vieux, chairman of Red Herring. “The year 2013 has demonstrated the sector's vibrant activity and its contribution to the global economic recovery. An unprecedented number of entrepreneurs are jumping ahead of the competition and making a difference. Breakthroughs obsolete each other faster than ever before. Centric Software is performing exceptionally in its field and strongly deserves to be singled out as one of the Red Herring Global Finalists. At this stage, we are left with the daunting task to select the best-qualified companies for the 2013 Top 100 Global Award."

As a finalist, Centric will present at the Red Herring Global forum, taking place Nov. 18-20 in Los Angeles. Red Herring will announce the Top 100 Global Award winners at an awards ceremony Nov. 20 at the event.

“Red Herring’s recognition of Centric’s innovation and industry leadership in providing PLM systems for retail, fashion and consumer goods companies is gratifying for our entire team,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric. Among the hallmarks of Centric’s achievements, Groves cites marquee customer acquisitions and expansion, innovation of the industry’s first mobile apps, Centric’s unique Agile Deployment (SM) methodology, and unmatched, rapid customer return on investment. “It is an honor to be selected as a finalist for Red Herring’s 2013 Top 100 Global award.”
