For nearly 80 years, the iconic Great Smoky Mountains National Park has entertained guests of all ages. Whether guests were avid hikers, canoers, whitewater rafters or historical gurus, the mountainous area has something to offer. Today the Smokies are home to 67 different species of mammals, 200 varieties of birds, 80 reptiles and amphibians, 67 birds, 4,000 plants and 17,000 different insects.
