Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) October 31, 2013
Wide River LLC, a Nebraska-based Health Information Technology (HIT) consulting company, is pleased to announce the hiring of Dennis Adams, DC, MHA, to lead the team’s ICD-10 and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service lines.
Dr. Adams brings over 35 years of health care industry experience, primarily in provider organization operations and billing, payer operations, large system implementations, mandates compliance and as a deep domain consultant in ICD-10 and 5010.
“Wide River is excited to welcome Dennis as the latest addition to our growing team,” said Todd Searls, Director of Wide River. “As a national expert on RCM, Dennis is someone who understands the current fiscal challenges and payment reform changes facing all of health care, and I’m especially pleased that our core client base—the physicians and hospitals serving rural and medically-underserved communities—will have access to his subject matter expertise as part of Wide River’s comprehensive consulting services.”
It is important for healthcare providers to prepare now for the ICD-10 transition. Starting next October, the ICD-9 code sets used to report medical diagnoses and inpatient procedures will be replaced by ICD-10 code sets. The transition to ICD-10 is required for everyone covered by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA).
“As a former CEO of a provider organization for Family Practice, Orthopedic and Neurologists, I am particularly interested in the challenges faced by providers in today’s market so profoundly impacted by federal mandates,” stated Dennis Adams.
