(PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- Halloween is often one of the most exciting holidays for children, so it’s important that it remains safe and fun and there are no accidents that can spoil the Halloween fun. DiscoBratz has compiled three helpful tips to help make your Halloween trick-or-treat experience safe and fun.
Buddy Up
A parent should accompany children and if they don’t, children should be in a group together. If they go in a group, be sure to plan and review an acceptable route. Then agree on a specific time when they should return home and have them carry cell phones.
Walk Safely
Only cross streets as a group in established crosswalks, if you can, and never cross between parked cars or out of driveways. Teach your children to be aware of cars, since they can see cars easier then drivers seeing them!
Drive Safe and Be Smart
Halloween is notorious for the dangers of children and cars. When driving, be sure to take it slow and keep your eye on the road. Parents should add reflective tape or striping to costumes and trick-or-treat bags for greater visibility.
Follow these simple tips to make Halloween a holiday your child will always remember fondly.
