MilitaryOneClick has applied for a $250,000 grant from Chase as part of a newly launched program, Mission Main Street Grants. MilitaryOneClick is a military spouse owned company providing a dynamic user-friendly site where our military, reservists, veterans, military spouses and community supporting our military can find links to resources & opportunities.
MilitaryOneClick must submit a questionnaire outlining a business plan that will result in growth of the business and receive at least 250 votes to be eligible for a grant. The voting deadline is November 15, 2013 and grant recipients will be selected by expert panelists.
According to Jennifer Pilcher, Founder & CEO of MilitaryOneClick, "We reach over 1 million people a month and work with some of the largest brands in the country supporting our military, therefore, we have proven there's a major need for the unique services we provide. We would use this grant to scale our team, improve our technology, and broaden our marketing to all of the companies supporting the military on a local and global level." Pilcher added, "we are a 100% community based company working with military related non-profits who we support, promote and donate to monthly. We have worked with and donated to over 10 military charities so far this year. This grant will directly support MilitaryOneClick's efforts to increase the opportunities for our military community." Through Mission Main Street Grants, Chase will award $3 million to small business across America. All businesses that apply for a grant and meet the eligibility requirements will receive a special advertising offer from Premier Sponsor, Google. In addition, the 12 grant recipients will be eligible to receive a trip to Google for an exclusive small business marketing workshop with Google experts and a Google Chromebook Pixel laptop.
The 12 grant recipients will be announced in January 2014.
