Continuum Performance Center Announces New Director of Team Programming, Sarah Kelly
E. Longmeadow, MA (PRWEB) November 01, 2013 -- Continuum Performance Center, is pleased to announce that Sarah Kelly will be joining the CPC team as the Director of Team Programming effective December 1, 2013. A graduate of Springfield College with a Masters Degree in Applied Exercise Science and concentration in Strength & Conditioning, Sarah is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA and a licensed Athletic Trainer. Sarah is currently the Head Strength Coach at Western New England University and carries with her over 11 years of collegiate coaching experience.
As Continuum Performance Center enters their 3rd year of operation, Managing Partner Geoff Sullivan, quickly realized their need for additional in-house talent to help support future growth. As a leader in the fitness industry, CPC is continuing to evolve and ensure they are the finest in their field. Sarah’s credentials include: Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach, Licensed Certified Athletic Trainer, and TRX RIP Trainer. She is United States Field Hockey Association Level II Certified and has earned the title of a Red Cross Professional Rescuer. Although she holds many titles, her official professions have included working as a collegiate coach, a strength and conditioning specialist, and a seasoned triathlete.
“I did my first race on my old mountain bike,” Kelly remembers when speaking about her first triathlon in 2002, “when I looked over the swim course for the first time I thought I would die. 11 years later, I've upgraded my bike a number of times and swimming across a lake doesn't seem so daunting anymore.” A participant in countless triathlons – a dozen Half Ironman competitions and another dozen Olympic distance triathlons – the list goes on. Over the years Kelly has also qualified for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships 5 times putting her up there with the best.
Through her role at CPC, Sarah Kelly will focus on the development of new team programming that will support the existing model. Sarah's experience and expertise will make a great difference in the performance of CPC’s subscribers. In turn, this will directly affect injury prevention and help prepare players to be mentally tough. It’s Sarah’s philosophy that “the ‘uncomfortable’ is what makes you better.” It’s important to her that people always have a reason to get to ‘that place’ – even if for no other reason than to say you did! “As an athlete,” Sarah continues, “the world of sport and fitness has taken me many places and provided me with many incredible opportunities. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my professional career providing the same opportunities to the individuals I work with.”
"I couldn't be more thrilled to have Sarah joining the CPC team,” says Sullivan. “We have steadily increased our company infrastructure and Sarah is everything that CPC stands for. Motivated, inspiring, professional, a competitor, a leader, and a friend".
