London, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 31 October 2013 -- Network Rail have appointed Asite’s feature rich SaaS platform, Adoddle, as the Framework solution for the GNGE Alliance’s program of works in support of the ECML Capacity Relief. The GNGE Alliance comprises of Network Rail, Babcock, Carillion and Siemens and takes the collaborative model to the next level – an ideology which Asite’s solution readily supports. The Alliance are geared up to deliver a multi-million Rail Upgrade Project between Peterborough and Doncaster and incorporates the introduction of new signaling and level crossing technologies onto the rail infrastructure. This will bring benefits to both rural passenger traffic and freight movements due to increased capacity, frequency and line speed. The migration of the freight movements will bring further benefit by allowing additional passenger traffic to operate on the ECML. The works are due to be delivered by mid-late 2014 and a real potential exists for the Alliance Team to undertake additional work streams beyond this.
Stephen Flanagan the Programme Controls Support Manager for the GNGE Alliance said, ‘“Having specified the EDMS solution for our project, the decision to deploy Asite was literally a no brainer. Its cutting edge capabilities balanced against an attractive pricing structure makes Asite an extremely cost effective and powerful information management solution.”
