AlertSystems Respond to CCTV After Alleged Burglary
(PRWEB UK) 4 November 2013 -- It has been reported by ITV in the article titled ‘CCTV Image Release after Salford Shop Burglary’ published on October 28, that a CCTV image has been released of a man police wish to speak to in connection with a burglary which occurred at a shop in Salford. It is reported that three men allegedly broke into the store on Great Cheetham Street East on August 12, resulting in the theft of items and thousands of pounds’ worth of damage.
According to ITV, police describe the three men as white, in their late teens or early twenties, and wearing dark clothing with hoods. Police have released an image of one of the three individuals in an appeal for information.
Police Constable Chris Jackson from Salford Division told ITV that:
“We have released the image of a man we want to speak to in connection with this burglary. The image is quite clear and I expect there are people who will recognise him. If you have any information about the incident or saw these men hanging around at the time of the burglary, please contact me.”
The experts at AlertSystems, who specialise in commercial security systems, closely follow news relating to CCTV and were interested in the release of these images. A spokesperson for the company offered their thoughts:
“Unfortunately thefts and vandalism can occur in businesses such as stores, and so having CCTV installed is vital in helping to protect the premises. Incidences of theft and vandalism can be difficult to predict and particularly damaging to businesses, so it is important to have sufficient security systems in place to protect the premises and the stock which is held onsite.
“Installing CCTV security systems throughout the premises and in areas which may be more vulnerable to theft and vandalism is an important step in securing your business against such incidents. A CCTV security camera can act as an effective crime preventative, but in the case that a crime is committed, police can use the footage to identify suspects and release the image to the public in an appeal for information.
“Installing high quality CCTV security systems can be crucial in assisting police with their investigations, as the clearer the image, the higher chance the public and the police have of identifying individuals who may be responsible. Information provided by the CCTV can be important in helping bring police investigations to a successful conclusion.”
