The inaugural user conference officially kicks off on Nov. 3 to a gathering of over 400 customers and business partners of the organization.

What:    
During Forward Together 2013, the inaugural three-and-a-half-day user conference, Abila customers and business partners will hear from Krista Endsley, CEO, Abila, on the journey of Abila and how customers have traveled with the organization through acquisitions, industry changes and market trends.

Dan Pallotta, chief humanity officer, Advertising for Humanity, will speak on how “The way we think about charity is dead wrong". Cookie Gregory Ruiz, executive director, Ballet Austin, will discuss the dimensions of leadership in a nonprofit.

The breakout sessions led by nonprofit and association industry leaders will focus on insights surrounding:

  • Overcoming common organizational challenges.
  • Leveraging new fund accounting and large-scale fundraising technology.
  • Shaping strategy for social media, data management and mobile devices.
  • Expanding on grant management, accounting and fundraising knowledge, lessons learned and best practices.

During the opening keynote, recipients of the 2013 Abila President’s Circle Awards, McGovern Consulting Group, LLC; NonProfit Technologies, Inc.; JMT Consulting Group; and NP Solutions, Inc., will also be recognized at the event.
