East Hartford, CT (PRWEB) November 01, 2013 -- Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) announces Internal Process Auditing to ISO 9001, a new workshop to provide practical auditing techniques for companies with quality management systems certified as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001.
The two-day program will be held at CCAT’s Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in East Hartford on November 7 and 8 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day. Program details are available at http://www.ccat.us/events/.
With more than a million organizations certified, ISO 9001 is one of the most broadly recognized quality management tools in use worldwide. Certification requires third party auditing to verify that requisite criteria are met and that standard procedures are properly documented and communicated. The Internal Process Auditing program reviews the requirements for auditing, industry specific requirements and looks ahead to criteria for ISO 9001:2015. Exercises are based on actual audit experiences.
“CCAT’s Internal Process Auditing course is critical for companies certified as ISO 9001,” states Bob Torrani, director, CCAT Advanced Manufacturing Center. “The program provides practical techniques for audit preparation, planning, and reporting – tools that will speed the auditing process and have long term, bottom-line benefits.”
According to Torrani, the program is fundamental for quality managers, quality engineers, supplier auditors and internal auditors. It is supported with funding provided by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development.
