Sebastian, FL (PRWEB) October 31, 2013
Tecnocom, the fourth largest ICT Company in Spain, has partnered with NetBoss Technologies, Inc., to deploy the NetBoss XT network management system at Azteca Comunicaciones Colombia (ACC) in Colombia.
NetBoss Technologies, Inc., is a leading supplier of network management and service assurance solutions to forward-looking network operators around the world.
Tecnocom chose NetBoss XT to be the centralized ACC Manager of Managers, responsible for consolidating and correlating ACC’s network events that previously required staff to monitor 10 different element management systems for different types of equipment. There was no consolidated view of the network and no ability to see interaction between equipment types or network domains.
The NetBoss suite of products will reduce the volume of network alarms through advanced correlation techniques while displaying root cause and service-affecting alarms in real time. ACC will use NetBoss XADE, the NetBoss Technologies agent-building toolkit, to expand NetBoss XT coverage as the network expands, while reducing CapEx costs by allowing in-house engineers to build their own data mediation agents. NetBoss XT will also be integrated with ACC’s trouble ticketing system to further automate network operations.
In Colombia, ACC telecommunications services will be connected to 452 municipalities by December 2013 and 753 (67% of the municipalities in Colombia) at the end of July 2014 with more than 18.000 km of Optic Fiber, covering 2,000 public institutions, including schools, hospitals, health care centers, and libraries.
Hernán Penagos Morales, ACC’s IT Manager, cited the NetBoss Technologies ability to quickly and affordably implement a solution with a proven correlation tool and the added ability of the agent development tool kit as reasons for the selection. “With the NetBoss solution, we will be able to meet our scheduled objectives and expand our capabilities with in-house resources, as needed,” he explained.
“NetBoss is ideal for a growth-oriented network like ACC’s,” said Jim Odom, President and CEO of NetBoss Technologies. “Our products are designed and engineered to be flexible and adaptable. We are very pleased to add ACC to our rapidly growing list of customers.”
Miguel Ariza, Tecnocom General Manager in Colombia, expressed that “Tecnocom Telco team in Colombia will bring its knowledge and experience to the successful delivery of this solution. We are delighted to collaborate in projects like this one that offer such a clear value to our customers.”
