Blue Springs Ford Has Donated Over $75,000 to Local Schools
(PRWEB) November 04, 2013 -- On Sept 7th, Blue Springs Ford and Blue Springs High Golden Regiment Marching Band partnered together and held a Drive One 4 UR School event at Blue Springs High School. Blue Springs Ford provided cars for the event and for every test drive taken Ford donated $20 to the school.
The goal for the day was to complete 300 test drives for a maximum donation amount of $6000. This goal was met and a check for $6000 was made out to Blue Springs High School from the Ford Drive One 4 Ur School program.
Golden Regiment representative, Tom Meyer, is thrilled with the results and plans to deposit the money in the general transportation fund for the band. This fund helps with the expenses associated getting the Golden Regiment members to various events around the country. Recently, the band traveled to St Louis for the Bands of America Midwest Super Regional and to San Antonio, Texas for the Bands of America Southwest Super Regional. On November 14th, the band will attend the Bands of America Grand Nationals event in Indianapolis.
Blue Springs Ford has participated in the Drive One event numerous times over the last five years, and helped local schools raise nearly $75,000.
