Homecare Homebase Launches Real-Time Medication Management at the Point of Care

This latest addition to the Partner Link family of interfaces was developed in conjunction with ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI), a healthcare technology services company focused on customizable clinical and financial solutions in pharmacy and hospital/physician alignment. The new interface enables users to instantly retrieve an electronic patient medication list from the largest repository of retail prescription claims and download directly into the patient’s electronic medical record. Data is linked to several key data points about the patient to ensure accuracy and completeness of the prescription information retrieved. The medications are populated prior to the start of care, relieving the caregiver of this initial duty and available for their review as soon as they start the visit. This integrated service not only saves the caregiver significant time, but also improves accuracy as medication information is pulled directly from the prescription and ensures a complete medication picture is provided for each patient.
