pub trade is still reluctant to update their weekly offers and distribute through online services.

The UK pub guide Pub Rooms has taken over the PubInnGuide Directory. The Pub Inn Guide web service will cease to exist and be transferred to Pub Rooms by Dec 2013.
The Pub Inn Guide was brought back online in 2012 it was one of the oldest pub directories but failed to make any headway with its existing members. According to Pub Room Marketing Direct Peter Jones, “The pub trade is still reluctant to update their weekly offers and distribute through online services, allocating time and resources to the internet isn’t seen as important, Jones goes on to warn freehouse pubs & inns that they "run the risk of losing out to the managed brands should they neglect how people are trying to find venues to meet, eat, drink and stay."
Pub Rooms is looking forward to taking over the Pub Inn Guide and contacting the 1200 pubs and inns listed. This is a great opportunity for pubs with accommodation rooms to be part of the UK’s oldest established pub guides for pubs with rooms, says Andrew Mason the manager of the guide. The challenges for pubs and inns during 2014 and beyond wont be which services to use to increase bookings it will be who is updating them.
