Stereo East Home Theater Hosts Food Drive to Benefit Local Families
Frisco, Texas (PRWEB) November 01, 2013 -- During the month of November, Stereo East Home Theater will be collecting food and other necessities on behalf of Frisco Family Services. Frisco Family Services is a Partner Agency of the North Texas Food Bank, and their Food Pantry distributes more than 40,000 pounds of food each month.
As the holiday season approaches, Frisco Family Services will experience an increase in demand for their food distribution services. As Frisco’s only food pantry, the organization relies heavily on donations from individuals and businesses in the local community. Currently, the food pantry is in need of the following items:
• Peanut Butter
• Jelly
• Canned Pasta Meals
• Boxed Meal Helpers
• Boxed Mac and Cheese
• Children's Cereals
• Fruit Cups
• Fruit Juices (small boxes or pouches)
• Flour (5 lb. size or smaller)
• Baking Mixes
• Cooking Oils (48 oz. size or smaller)
• Snack Items (popcorn, granola bars, etc.)
• Saltine Crackers
• Ketchup or Mayonnaise
• Laundry Detergent (approximately 40 load size or smaller)
• Size 4 and Size 5 Diapers
• Body wash / Shampoo
To donate items, simply bring them to Stereo East Home Theater throughout the month of November. Stereo East’s showroom is located at 9150 Warren Parkway in Frisco and is open from 10-7 Monday through Friday and 10-6 on Saturday.
Those who donate to the drive will be entered to win a free 32” HD TV. “It’s important to remember we have hungry adults and children in our neighborhoods,” says Stereo East’s Giselle Montana. “This is a small way we can help, and we hope our food drive encourages others to donate, too.”
Frisco Family Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping members of the community improve their quality life and achieve self-sufficiency. With a variety of programs, Frisco Family Services is able to provide assistance to those facing hunger, homelessness, and other critical situations.
