Digital Sports Group announce winners of PFA Fans' Player of the Month October 2013
(PRWEB UK) 1 November 2013 -- Fans were asked to vote for their player of the month for October and they responded in masses, giving their support to the players they feel have impressed them the most during this season's first full month of fixtures.
The polls are now closed, the votes have been counted and it is now time to reveal the winners of the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for October 2013.
Premier League winner: Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
Luis Suarez has been in scintillating form since his return from action for Liverpool and managed to score in all three of the Reds Premier League matches during October. The Uruguayan bagged himself a hat-trick against West Brom and scored against Crystal Palace and Newcastle to bring his tally to five goals in the month of October.
Championship winner: Danny Ings (Burnley)
Danny Ings has revelled in his role as the main striker for Burnley so far this season as Sean Dyche's men make an early push for promotion to the Premier League. The striker has now scored thirteen goals and counting in all competitions, including three in the month of October.
League One winner: Callum Wilson (Coventry City)
After scoring twelve goals in fifteen games across all competitions Callum Wilson has established himself as a mainstay in the Coventry City starting XI has formed a good understanding with strike partner Leon Clarke. The striker has been hotly tipped to become the League One's top scorer this season and with his performances during October it's easy to see why.
League Two winner: Luke James (Hartlepool United)
Hartlepool United's Luke James was given the award of League One Apprentice of the Year last season so it comes as no surprise to see him voted League Two's PFA Fans' Player of the Month for October. The 18-year-old has scored seven goals in seventeen appearances for his club during the 2013/14 season, including three during the month of October.
