Wilmington Trust Hires Robert Weiss to Manage Corporate Escrow Services on East Coast
Baltimore, Md. (PRWEB) November 01, 2013 -- Wilmington Trust hired Robert Weiss to manage corporate escrow services for the company’s Global Capital Markets clients on the East Coast of their U.S. market. He is based in Wilmington Trust’s Baltimore office.
Weiss works with public and private corporate entities, law firms, private equity funds, and investment banking firms to identity and deliver solutions involving the use of escrow and paying agent services. Escrow services are often required in the context of merger and acquisition activity, equity subscription offerings, asset sales, litigation, construction, government contracting, and other scenarios which require a third-party intermediary to hold and distribute assets.
Weiss brings a combination of financial and product expertise along with a strong customer service ethic to Wilmington Trust. He has a proven track record of success in serving customers during his 27-year career in financial services. Most recently, he was vice president of sales and business development with Wells Fargo’s Corporate Trust and Escrow Services division. Weiss previously held senior-level financial and business development roles at Freddie Mac, Onmark Group, and Fannie Mae.
“We are thrilled to have Rob join our team, bringing his wealth of expertise and commitment to customer service to our Global Capital Markets clients,” said Jack Beeson, head of Wilmington Trust’s Global Capital Markets Group.
Weiss earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Cornell University.
His office is located at 25 S. Charles St., in Baltimore, Md., and can be reached by phone at (443)388-0660.
