Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel Promotes Give-2-Win, Benefiting Local Food Banks
Charenton, LA (PRWEB) November 01, 2013 -- Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel announced today that they will hold a Give-2-Win promotion, benefiting local food banks, on November 7, 14 and 21 from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel is proud to support local food banks through engaging in donations to help feed Acadiana’s hungry. About 1 in 6 people in America face hunger. Food insecurity exists everywhere in America. In 2011, 17.9 million households were food insecure. More than 50.1 million Americans struggle to put food on the table and more than 1 in 5 children are at risk of hunger.
“Partnering with our local food banks and providing incentives for our guests is a monumental undertaking and one that Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel is not taking lightly; we want to make a difference in the surrounding communities,” remarked Nancy Herrington, Executive Director of Marketing and Player Development. Hunger continues to persist in our local communities, so during the month of November guests may deposit canned goods at any of the Club Cypress booths to receive one entry into exclusive drawings. Drawings will take place on Thursdays, November 7, 14, and 21 from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Four winners will be selected each drawing day. Guests may win up to $250 cash. Customers can bring in canned goods only; no dry goods, boxed, frozen or fresh foods will be accepted.
Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel’s Interim Management Committee commented, “CBCH is committed to partnering with our local community. By donating to local food banks, our donation will stay local and directly impact many Southern Louisiana communities. We hope to lessen the impacts of hunger this holiday season.”
“Promoting Give-2-Win is a fun way to get our guests involved in the cause,” continued Jack Darden and Tara Trahan, Interim Management Committee members.
Additionally, Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel recently hosted AJRF’s 8th Annual Jeep Jaunt benefiting the American Lung Association. Some of the other events sponsored by Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel include: Chitimacha Louisiana Open, Acadiana Culinary Classic, Susan G. Komen, MDA of Acadiana, and Danielle’s R&B Dance and Auction benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
