Champion Purchases 304 Apartments Along Polaris Parkway
Westerville, Ohio (PRWEB) November 05, 2013 -- Champion has acquired a 304-unit apartment community in Lewis Center, OH, located only a few minutes from Polaris Fashion Place and JPMorgan Chase & Co. The Oak Creek at Polaris acquisition embodies the essence of Champion’s business model: buying Class B apartments in desirable, flourishing areas.

According to Yeager, Champion was able to purchase the apartments for $25,000 to $35,000 below what its competitors are currently selling or building at per unit.
“That is a great entry point to this submarket,” Yeager said. “The financing on this deal was remarkable too. We obtained a CMBS non-recourse loan at a sub-5% interest rate, fixed for 10 years.”
Champion has acquired a geographically diverse portfolio of value-add acquisitions. Currently, Champion manages more than 3,600 multi-family apartments, with 15 communities in the well-respected neighborhoods of Lewis Center, Delaware, Powell, Hilliard, Grove City, Canal Winchester, Gahanna and Westerville.
