Collibra launches integration between Data Governance Center and IBM InfoSphere.
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) November 04, 2013
Collibra, a leading Data Governance software vendor, today announced it has officially launched its integration with the IBM InfoSphere platform in the context of the IBM Information On Demand (IOD) conference in Las Vegas. As a result, IBM customers will be able to immediately take full advantage of the Collibra Data Governance Center’s business facing Data Stewardship capabilities to leverage existing IBM IT investments to a wider business audience. The integration covers Collibra’s full Data Governance capabilities. Customers will have the option to either buy the monthly cloud service or deploy in house.
According to Collibra’s CEO, Felix Van De Maele, “Collibra has always focused on the business, realizing that Data Governance success is driven by business ownership. Providing the organizational structure, roles and responsibilities and out of the box Data Governance workflows on top of IBM InfoSphere has proven to be a very successful proposition for IBM customers to take full advantage of their InfoSphere investment.”
“My company has a strong partnership with both IBM and Collibra, and I am well versed in both sets of technologies. This integration will help IBM’s enterprise clients get the most value of their Data Governance programs. For example, organizations can govern reference data in Collibra and propagate any changes to DataStage. Companies can use the REST API to integrate Collibra and Business Glossary. In addition, we have shown how terms in Business Glossary can be integrated with reference data in Collibra. Finally, clients can manage policies and standards in Collibra while enforcing them in Optim, Guardium, MDM and Metadata Workbench,” said Sunil Soares, Founder and Managing Partner Information Asset.
