Fort Collins-Based Total Vein Care Goes to Next Level in Expertise Accreditation
Fort Collins, Colorado (PRWEB) November 04, 2013 -- Total Vein Care proudly announced its new accreditation, ICAVL, today as one more sign that this locally owned and operated vein care center is attracting national attention. At a time when the media carries everyday news of restricted or canceled medical coverage, TVC, under the leadership of Dr. Steven Kaufman, is stepping forward, insisting on the highest of professional standards and delivering expert care to their patients.
Dr. Kaufman states, "The ICAVL accreditation is a highly prized and honored accreditation inside the medical field of vein disease. It signifies a level of expertise all patients should insist upon before being treated." He further stated that "as more and more becomes known about the treatment of vein disease, every patient with spider veins, varicosities or wounds from venous insufficiency should insist on the best of care."
Venous insufficiency is a vein disease that strikes approximately one of every two Americans. It impacts their quality of life, their self esteem and in general, their willingness to engage in normal everyday life. Dr. Kaufman stated, "The treatment of vein disease should be recognized as a serious medical condition and treated as one. Treatments today are very effective and most patients can drive themselves home without pressure stockings and without being hesitant of engaging in public activities due to vein disease. At the TVC clinic, from the time the patient walks into our office until they leave, we are focused on giving them their lives back; that feels good. The sad thing is many adults live with the disease when they do not have to. We want everyone to know that. Seek treatment."
More on IAC Accreditation — A "Seal of Approval" Patients Can Count On.
Private offices, clinics and departments within hospitals that are accredited by the Intersocietal Commission (IAC) voluntarily submit to a review of their daily operations. By participating in the accreditation process, these medical facilities demonstrate a commitment to the performance of quality vascular testing and strive to meet nationally recognized standards. During the accreditation process, applicant vascular facilities must submit documentation on every aspect of their daily operations. Accreditation is granted only to those facilities that are found to be providing quality patient care, in compliance with the IAC Standards. Once granted, IAC accreditation is valid for a period of three years, after which time the facility must undergo a repeat evaluation.
