Understand.com™ Launches New Video Role-Play Platform
Reno, Nevada (PRWEB) November 05, 2013 -- Global education company Understand.com™ is proud to announce the launch of Rehearsal VRP, a new platform dedicated to making role-play accessible, convenient and cost effective.
Role-play is one of the most effective techniques used to train sales, customer service, or any position where communication skills are important. However, role play is traditionally an exercise conducted only during the occasional training session or sales meeting in which congregating team members can be expensive, time consuming, and impractical. Further, role-play training is very rarely recorded and made available to the entire organization as a reference tool for others to learn from in the future.
Rehearsal VRP is a web-based application that brings the benefits of role-play directly to your team using a computer, Internet connection and webcam. Sales and training managers can record a hypothetical situation and invite their trainees or team to submit their own recorded response. The students may review and practice their role-play submissions as often as needed until they are satisfied with their response, which is then submitted to their training manager for review. The process of practicing a pitch over and over helps the user gain experience and confidence.
Creating and managing content is easy. Rehearsal’s administrative interface is user-friendly and requires no training. Role-play responses can be graded and video or written feedback left at the click of a button. Exemplary role-play submissions can be published in a library of “Best Responses,” which are accessible to the team via the Leader Board feature. Rehearsal VRP can even help you measure the success of your training goals by employing performance reports and other metrics that are built into the platform.
Rehearsal VRP is platform independent and works seamlessly on any device including iPad, tablets, PC, and Mac.
“The role play experience can benefit almost any industry, business, or training related field,” states Darik Volpa, founder and CEO of Understand.com. “Rehearsal VRP is the first product that allows Understand.com to expand well beyond the medical education space. The applications for training and improving communication skills are endless.”
