The Eagles first took flight in 1971 out of Los Angeles, California. Today, they are the best-selling American band in history. Plus, they have the best-selling album of all time – Greatest Hits 1971-1975.
The rock group has been touring again and the latest leg of their current History of the Eagles Tour takes off again tonight at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, with a seating capacity for 15,000 concert fans.
The classic 70’s rock band then performs at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario on November 6, and plays a three-night stand at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York this weekend.
“The Eagles are one of the most successful rock bands in history,” said Marta Ault at online ticket marketplace BuyAnySeat.com. “They always sell out.”
“That’s why we’re proud to offer fans the most comprehensive and continually updated listing of concert tickets online, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase.

The wrap for this year’s dates is set for the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on November 23, 2013. The band kicks off 2014 with a six-concert at the revamped Forum in Inglewood, California from January 15 – 25, 2014.
Due to overwhelming demand, additional concerts are scheduled to follow in Sacramento, San Jose, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Raleigh, Washington D.C. Cincinnati, and Columbus through January, February and early March. Advance tickets to a recently added concert in San Jose also became available today.
Based on buzz from the band’s website, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit will perform their classic hits, including “Hotel California,” “New Kid In Town,” “Take It To The Limit,” “One Of These Nights,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Best Of My Love” and “Take It Easy.” Tracks from the band members’ solo catalogs will also be featured.
The group's latest three-disc documentary DVD provides an unprecedented look at their history and music and includes never-before-released footage from the Eagles’ two-night stand at Washington, D.C. during the Hotel California tour. The DVD debuted on Showtime in April, earning the network its highest ratings for a music documentary in eight years. In addition, Part One premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
The Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide. They have won six Grammy Awards. Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is the best-selling album of all time, with over 42 million copies sold. The band is also currently ranked as the fifth highest selling music act and highest-selling American band in U.S. history.
In addition, no other domestic group sold more records than the Eagles in the 1970s. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. (Source: wikipedia.org)
