Frightening visitor numbers see record breaking Halloween weekend for Lightwater Valley
(PRWEB UK) 6 November 2013 -- Over 11,000 visitors turned out for an epic scaring at Lightwater Valley’s Frightwater Valley and Nightwater Valley events this weekend - a number which tops the park’s record high of 10,000.
Running from 31 October – 2 November 2013, Frightwater Valley this year brought together over 100 community actors from Harrogate Theatre, Leeds Metropolitan University, Pink Ink Entertainment, Jack in the Boxx and T Park to deliver a huge scare factor.
From Raptor Attack LIVE! and The Graveyard and Haunted Trail, to magical shows and theming, as well as puppet shows and Eagles’ Creep Farm for younger visitors, the park summoned an awesome amount of unearthly content to deliver the ultimate spine-chilling adventure for families.
On 3 November Nightwater Valley fireworks provided a thrilling cocktail of pyrotechnical wizardy, set in the beautiful surroundings of the park’s boating lake. Nightwater Valley usually marks the end of the park’s season, although this year its new Angry Birds Activity Park will remain open all year round.
Lightwater Valley’s autumn programme of events ends with the Dickensian Festival at the Lightwater County Shopping Village (28 November – 1 December), which this year includes cooking demonstrations by Yorkshire-born celebrity chef Stephanie Moon and Yorkshire’s loudest town crier.
