The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "It’s unconscionable for a Internet university, or a trade school to make money off of US taxpayers by abusing a system designed to help students obtain an education. For the past two years, we have been working with university administrators, and we believe abuse is widespread in the Internet university, or the trade school industry.” http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
As an example according to a recent report from the Department of Justice, ATI Enterprises Inc., which operates a chain of schools in Texas, allegedly inflated their job placement statistics to the Texas Workforce Commission and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges in order to maintain their licensure and accreditation. As a result of allegedly misrepresenting the statistics the US Department of Justice alleged ATI was fraudulently maintaining their eligibility for federal student aid, which according to the DOJ is a direct violation of the False Claims Act.
The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "If you possess well-documented proof that a trade school, online university, or any type of educational institution is knowingly misrepresenting themselves by inflating job placement statistics, call us at 866-714-6466. All calls will be kept confidential. If the proof is sufficient, we will get you to some of the nation's premier whistleblower attorneys so your claim can move forward with the goal being a reward for the information.” http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
