Wind & Weather Announces a Chance For Customers to Share the Love and Win
Madison, VA (PRWEB) November 05, 2013 -- Wind & Weather, a leading home and garden catalog brand, recently launched a nationwide search for the most unusual love story. The contest invites submissions of stories about romantic love, or love between family or friends. Entries will be accepted through November 22, 2013.
A special Wind & Weather selection committee will pick three stories based on the unique nature of their tales. These three stories will be posted on December 11 to Wind & Weather’s Facebook page with fans and customers voting on the wining love story.
The two individuals in the winning love story will receive a three-day, two-night all-expense paid trip for two to central Virginia, where the company’s headquarters is located. Accommodations will be at the historic Inn at Willow Grove, a five-star boutique hotel built in the 1830’s that was recently featured in the 2013 April edition of Southern Living. The winning pair will have a choice to participate in many local activities, such as touring local wineries, taking a hot air balloon ride, going on a shopping spree or seeing a show at the restored art deco Culpeper State Theatre.
Birgitt Thornhill, product manager for Wind & Weather said, “Our customers are such interesting people. They love to travel and learn, and we know they have some great stories to tell. We can’t wait to see the winning love story.”
The Share the Love contest was inspired by an exclusive, new metal yard sculpture developed by the Wind & Weather team–five foot tall letters spelling out the word “LOVE.” Each letter is adorned with bugs, an owl and a frog and are made of recycled metal. The prototype stands in front of the company offices and has become a location for engagement, prom and celebration photos. And while it is possible to purchase your own custom-made five-foot tall LOVE sign, a smaller, garden-sized version will be available through the catalog or on the website.
