Swift action to modify and update the integration link offers customers limited-delays with their cost estimating and quoting requirements.

MTI Systems, Inc. announced today their recertification between Costimator® cost estimating software and Shoptech, one of their leading integration partners. Shoptech Software is the developer of the E2 Shop System, an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software designed for job shops, manufacturing suppliers and OEMs.

ERPs are powerful business tools that enable seamless transitions of data into more usable information. The central feature of all ERP systems is a shared database that supports multiple functions used by different business units. Through synchronized reporting and automation, these elaborate software programs help manufacturers save time and be more effective in their scheduling, invoicing, inventory tracking, quoting, and more.

One thing that many customers seek in addition to what ERPs offer is in calculating cycle time for their manufacturing processes. Costimator® provides this estimating advantage and through an integration link the information is transferred into Shoptechs’ E2 software system.

“As new software versions are released for Costimator® cost estimating software and for E2, offering new functionality and benefits, it translates into more speed, accuracy, and consistency,” said David LaJoie, VP of Sales, MTI Systems, Inc. “And while time saved equals money savings, the increased accuracy and greater consistency influence additional sales and profits -- as well.”

Manufacturers are faced with enough challenges, from the ebbs and flows of customer relations and material price fluctuations, to the dynamic push and pull of the technological changes, as well as the downward driving hammer brought on by foreign pricing competition. Manufacturers cannot afford to lose time during version upgrades. They expect a quick response from their vendors. That’s why effective partners, such as, MTI Systems and Shoptech strive to make these transitions as seamless as possible.

“Swift action to modify and update the integration link offers customers limited-delays with their cost estimating and quoting requirements,” replies Paul Ventura, V.P. of Marketing, Shoptech Software. “As partners we can offer seamless updates more quickly, a reliability our loyal customers enjoy. In turn this increased functionality and confidence helps them win more profitable jobs.”
