New Version of Ivytalk Extends the Reach of Social Media to Connect the Unconnected
Redmond, WA (PRWEB) November 05, 2013 -- Today, Ivycorp – a provider of group messaging solutions for businesses and organizations – released a free version of Ivytalk. Ivytalk offers powerful, secure, and private messaging that connects businesses with employees, customers, and other audiences who would otherwise be unconnected. This new version includes a subset of the company’s enterprise-grade offering and enables organizations to extend the reach of their social media communications.
Many disaster response, public safety, and non-profit organizations rely on popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to connect with their various stakeholders. While using these communication channels enables them to reach a broad range of public audiences, adding the new free version of Ivytalk can easily extend that reach by pushing messages out to those not actively using social channels.
"Many organizations use social media to communicate timely or important information. While social media can reach a very large audience, it does require the audience to be active on those channels," said Mary Jesse, Founder and CEO of Ivycorp. "Our new version of Ivytalk helps connect people by enhancing social media capabilities to make information available to everyone, everywhere, anytime."
Ivytalk group messaging solutions help businesses and organizations take the complexity out of messaging by allowing them to simply use any type of messaging on any device (i.e. text, SMS, email, mobile app, push notifications, web browser, pager, etc.) The new version uses the Ivytalk mobile application or email and provides a dedicated wizard for simple group setup.
"As a nonprofit security organization with chapters in multiple states, we struggled to develop a standard for communications," Christopher Hills, Regional Vice President at ASIS International. "Ivytalk has changed the way we communicate and streamlined our information flow."
"We are seeing the disaster response field undergo a significant shift to a survivor centric model, where communication with the affected population is achieved through technologies such as Ivytalk," said Gisli Olafsson, Emergency Response Director of NetHope.
The new version of Ivytalk is available immediately to organizations free of charge. For more information, please visit: http://www.ivytalk.com/ivycast.
