Two Of Pacific Links International’s Nevada Clubs Rank in Golfweek’s Top 50 Best Residential Courses for 2014
Henderson, NV (PRWEB) November 05, 2013 -- Recently, Southern Highlands and SouthShore Golf Clubs have been ranked in the top 50 of Golfweek’s 2014 Best Residential Courses. Both Nevada clubs are owned and operated by Pacific Links International (PLI). The Canadian-owned company has seen steady growth this year as it continues adding to its portfolio of prestigious courses in prime golf destinations throughout North America, Australia and Asia.
Both clubs were acquired by PLI in 2011 and have become signature-owned courses for the golf management company. PLI offers a unique reciprocal membership structure, granting access to nearly 100 world-class clubs around the globe. Additional partnerships give members access to 32 PGA Tour TPC courses and 11 GolfBC clubs in British Columbia and Hawaii.
"Both Southern Highlands and SouthShore are exceptional courses located in one of the top golf markets in the world," said Bruce Simmonds, Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Links International. "At Pacific Links we strive to offer our members access to high-quality courses and are pleased to have these clubs on our roster."
Southern Highlands, number 41 on Golfweek’s list, is one of only four courses co-designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr. The 7,510 yard, par 72 course works with its natural desert landscaping to feature rocky crevices and deep-faced bunkers that protect rolling greens. The course is home to the annual Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters and is commonly thought of as one of the toughest fields in NCAA men’s golf. The club also offers a caddie program, stay-and-play cottages and the luxurious Spa Southern Highlands.
SouthShore, ranked 47 for 2014, was the first private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Nevada. The 6,917 yard, par 71 course features dramatic elevation changes with high points towering upwards of 350 feet. Pacific Links has reunited SouthShore Golf Club with The Lake Club, providing access to restaurants, fitness and swimming facilities, social activities and a beach on Lake Las Vegas.
PLI plans to introduce an additional 50 golf clubs by summer 2014 and 150 golf clubs over the next three years with a presence in every major metropolitan and destination golf market in North America. For more information visit pacificlinks.com.
