Heritage Homeowners Plan For Beautiful Spring With Daffodil Bulb Planting
Wake Forest & Rolesville, NC (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- It’s going to be a beautiful spring at Heritage, the master-planned golf community in Wake Forest and Rolesville. On Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 more than 100 families from the community joined together to plant 2,000 daffodil bulbs.
Families registered for bags of five bulbs, which they planted at pre-marked spots along the greenway and around Heritage pond. Wake Forest Mayor Vivian Jones grabbed a shovel and helped during the beautification project. Those folks that helped with the planting were thanked with a Daffodil Days cooler and were eligible for prizes, which were given every half hour. The VFW provided lunch.
“Life in Heritage is about more than just a quality home,” says Andy Ammons, president of Ammons Development Group, Heritage developer. “Community events like Daffodil Days are part of life here and designed to bring neighbors together to make this a beautiful, friendly place to live.”
This was the third Daffodil Days event at Heritage, which included white flowers for the first time in anticipation of beautiful yellow and white floral display next spring. Each family received a marker planting site and will receive notification upon first bloom.
